Information on the radiation situation on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on April 9, 2026
According to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
The gamma radiation dose rate levels in Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno and Minsk are 0.10 μSv/h; in Gomel — 0.11 μSv/h; and in Mogilev — 0.12 μSv/h, which corresponds to natural background radiation levels.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the towns of Bragin and Slavgorod, the gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.43 μSv/h and 0.17 μSv/h, respectively. These values correspond to long-term average levels and are attributed to the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
