Information on the radiation situation in the territory of the Republic of Belarus as of April 16, 2026
According to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the republic remains stable.
The gamma radiation dose rate levels in Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, and Minsk are 0.10 µSv/h, and in Mogilev – 0.11 µSv/h, which corresponds to natural background radiation levels.
At the radiation monitoring observation points located in the cities of Bragin and Slavgorod, the gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.44 µSv/h and 0.18 µSv/h, respectively. These values correspond to the established long-term average levels and are a consequence of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
The measurement results of the gamma radiation dose rate from the Belhydromet radiation monitoring network are available on the website: https://rad.org.by
