According to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Contamination Control and Environmental Monitoring, the radiation situation in the country remains stable.
Ambient gamma radiation dose rate levels in Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev are 0.10 µSv/h and in Gomel – 0.11 µSv/h, which corresponds to natural background radiation values.
At radiation monitoring observation points located in the cities of Bragin and Slavgorod, ambient gamma radiation dose rate levels are 0.43 µSv/h and 0.17 µSv/h, respectively. These values correspond to established long-term averages and are attributed to the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
The measurement results of the gamma radiation dose rate at the radiation monitoring network of Belhydromet are available on the website: https://rad.org.by.
