Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from September 25 to October 2, 2024)

The state institution "Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Pollution and Environmental Monitoring" informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from September 25 to October 2, 2024.

In the air of Mogilev in the area of house No.10 on Pervomaiskaya Street on September 25 and 28, October 1, 2024, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.1 MPC (on September 25, 2024, south-easterly, south-westerly winds with a speed of 1-5 m/s were observed, the air temperature ranged from +14.2°C to +25.4°C, relative humidity – from 34% to 62%, on September 28, 2024, a westerly wind was observed in the southern quarter at a speed of 1-4 m/s, rain, air temperature ranged from +16.8°C to +23.1°C, relative humidity – from 54% to 90%, on October 1, 2024, a northerly, easterly wind with a speed of 1-3 m/s was observed, the air temperature ranged from +7.9 °C to +15.6°C, relative humidity – from 59% to 82%).

In the air of Gomel in the area of Barykina str.,319 on September 26, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size, was 3.32 MPC (a southerly wind with a speed of 3 m/s was observed, gusts up to 9 m/s, air temperature ranged from +14.9°C to +21.4°C, relative humidity is from 48% to 61%), on September 27, 2024 is 1.87 MPC (south-southeasterly wind with a speed of 2 m/s was observed, gusts up to 9 m/s, air temperature ranged from +17.5°C to +22.0°C, relative humidity is from 59% to 77%), on September 30, 2024 is 1.49 MPC (north wind was observed at a speed of 4 m/s, gusts up to 11 m/s, air temperature ranged from +10.2°C to +13.3°C, relative humidity is from 67% to 83%). In the area of St.Ogorenko,9 on October 2, 2024 at 07:00, the concentration of solid particles (undifferentiated dust/aerosol) was 1.2 MPC (there was a north wind with a speed of 1 m/s, gusts up to 3 m/s, the temperature was +8.0°C, relative humidity – 98%).

In the air of Zhlobin in the area of Prigorodnaya str.,12 on October 2, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size, was 1.46 MPC (northwesterly wind prevailed with an average speed of 1 m/s, gusts up to 4 m/s, air temperature ranged from +7.6°C to +15.6°C, relative humidity is from 76% up to 96%).

Due to the manufacturer's maintenance work on gas analyzers with a set of sensor devices until 01.11.2024, exceedances in the cities of Bereza, Dobrush, Smorgon and Molodechno will not be taken into account.
