Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from 8th to 14th of September, 2022)

The state institution "Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring" informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from September 8 to September 14, 2022.

In the air of Polotsk on September 8, 2022 at 19:00 h. in the area of the building "Dom byta" on the street Oktyabrskaya,54, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.1 MPC (there was a weak north, northeast wind, the air temperature was +7.5°C, relative humidity - 74%); at 21:40 h in the area of the residential building No. 9 on Jubilee Street, the concentration of nitrogen oxide was 1.2 MPC (calm was observed, temperature the air temperature was +5.6°C, relative humidity – 93%). On September 13, 2022 at 17:40 h in the area of the residential building No. 9 on the street Jubilee concentration of nitrogen oxide was 1.06 MPC (there was a weak north wind, the air temperature was +12.9°C, relative humidity – 84%); at 18:20 h. – 1.24 MPC (there was a weak northwest wind, the air temperature was +12°C, relative humidity – 89%); in 18:40 h. – 1.34 MPC (there was a weak north wind, the air temperature was +12.9°C, relative humidity – 91%), at 19:00 h. – 1.05 MPC (calm was observed, the air temperature was +12.5°C, relative humidity – 91%); September 14, 2022 in 20:40 h. – 1.06 MPC (a weak south-easterly wind was observed, the air temperature was +10.1°C, relative humidity – 98%); at 21:00 h. – 1.81 MPC (a weak south wind was observed, the air temperature was +10.5°C, relative humidity – 98%); at 21:20 h. – 1.08 MPC (there was a weak south-easterly wind, the air temperature was +11.1°C, relative humidity – 96%).

In the air of Zhlobin in the area of Prigorodnaya str.,12 on September 10, 2022, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size, was 1.4 MPC (a south-easterly wind with an average speed of 3 m/s prevailed, gusts up to 11 m/s, precipitation in the form of rain was observed, the air temperature ranged from +4.3°C to +13.4°C, relative humidity – from 55% to 79%).

In the air of Mogilev in the area of house No. 10 on Pervomayskaya Street on September 8, 2022, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the MPC standard by 1.3 times (the north wind prevailed at a speed of 1-2 m/s, the air temperature ranged from +6.5°C to +13.0°C, relative humidity – from 48% to 94%); September 9, 2022 – 1.5 times (there was a calm,northeast, southeast, east wind with a speed of 0-9 m/s, the air temperature ranged from +2.7°C to +15.4°C, relative humidity – from 34% to 62%).
