Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from 31 December 2025 to 7 January 2026)

The state institution «Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring» informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from 31 December 2025 to 7 January 2026.

In the air of Zhlobin city, in the area of 12, Prigorodnaya Street, on 2 January 2026, the 24-hour average concentration of particulate matter with a fraction size of up to 2.5 μm was 1.40 MPC (a southerly wind with an average speed of 3 m/s, gusts up to 12 m/s, snow, and air temperature ranging from -12.0°C to -0.2°C, relative humidity from 69% to 97% were observed), on 5 January 2026, it was 1.22 MPC (a south-southwesterly wind with a speed of 1 m/s, gusts up to 8 m/s, and air temperature ranging from -9.0°C to -3.7°C, relative humidity from 80% to 95% were observed).

In the air of Brest city, in the area of 75, Severnaya Street, on 7 January 2026, the 24-hour average concentration of particulate matter with a fraction size of up to 10 μm was 1.13 MPC (winds of variable directions with an average speed of 1 m/s, snow, mist, and air temperature ranging from -4.0°C to -6.2°C, relative humidity from 79% to 87% were observed).

Due to the manufacturer conducting verification and maintenance of gas analysers with sets of sensor devices, exceedances in the cities of Byaroza, Hlybokaye, Dobrush, Maladzyechna, Asipovichy, Pyetrykaw and Smarhon will not be taken into account.
