Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from 25 to 31 on March 2021)

The state institution "Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring" informs about exceeding the quality standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from March 25 to March 31, 2021.

In the air of Minsk near Heroes of 120th Division str. on March 26, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size (hereinafter referred to as PM-2.5) was 1.2 MAC (the Western wind prevailed at a speed of 1-4 m/s, the air temperature varied from -1.7°С to + 11.4°С, relative humidity range from 47% to 94%). On March 27 was 1.3 MAC (in the first half of the day there was a weak North-West, South wind, calm, in the second half days - SouthWestern, Southern wind at a speed of 2 m/s with a transition to a North wind at a speed of 1 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from -3.3°С to + 12.9°С, relative humidity range from 41% to 96%).

In the air of Mogilev near Krupskaya lane, 5 on March 25, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size (hereinafter referred to as PM-10) exceeded the quality standard by 1.8 times (weak Western wind and calm prevailed, haze was observed, the air temperature varied from -5.0°С up to + 10.3°С, relative humidity range from 26% to 83%); on March 26, the daily average concentration of PM-10 exceeded the quality standard by 1.7 times, near of Schmidt Avenue, 19a by 1.1 times (the Western wind prevailed at a speed of 1-3 m/s, calm, haze was observed, the air temperature varied in the range from +0.0°С to +10.7°С, relative humidity range from 53% to 87%); on March 27, near Krupskaya Lane, 5 by 1.1 times (there was a weak wind of variable directions, calm, haze, the air temperature varied in the range from -1.7°С to +13.0°С, relative humidity range from 36% to 96%); on March 28 was 1.7 times (a weak wind of variable directions was observed, the air temperature varied in the range from -0.3°С to +14.4°С, relative humidity range from 31% to 85%); on March 30 was 1.3 times (in the first half of the day there was a South wind with a speed of 1-4 m/s, haze, in the second half of the day Southwestern with a speed of 3-4 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from +2.5°С to +10.1°С, relative humidity range from 60% to 98%).

In the air of Polotsk near Kulneva street on March 27, in the morning, an increase in the level of air pollution with nitrogen oxide was recorded: in the period from 07:00 to 09:00 the maximum of one-time concentrations varied in the range of 1.08 - 1.25 MAC (calm was observed, the air temperature was +2.4°C, relative humidity 80%). On March 31, at 20:20, in the same district of the city, a short-term exceeding of the quality standard by 1.7 times for nitrogen oxide was recorded, at 21:00 the concentration of nitrogen oxide slightly exceeded the maximum one-time MAC (by 1.04 times) (calm was observed, air temperature was +9.6°C, relative humidity was 88%).

In the air of Zhlobin near Prigorodnaya st., 12 on March 26, the average daily concentration of PM-2.5 exceeded the quality standard by 2.3 times, PM-10 by 1.1 times (the NorthWestern wind prevailed at a speed of 1-2 m/s, calm, haze was periodically observed, the air temperature varied in the range from -0.3°С to +10.1°С, relative humidity range from 57% to 86%); on March 27, the average daily concentration of PM-2.5 was 2.2 MAC (a North-Western wind was observed at a speed of 1-2 m/s, calm, the air temperature varied from +0.6°C to + 13.3°C, relative humidity range from 36% to 87%); on March 28 was 1.8 MAC (a Southwestern, southeasterly wind was observed at a speed of 1-2 m/s with a transition to a NorthWestern wind at a speed of 1-3 m/s, the air temperature varied from +1.6°С to +14.1°С, relative humidity range from 36% to 95%); on March 30 was 1.3 MAC (there was a Southern, South-Western wind with a speed of 1-4 m/s, calm, air temperature varied in the range from +0.8°С to +13.1°С, relative humidity range from 45 % to 100%); on March 31 was 1.5 MAC (prevailing SouthWestern, westerly wind with a speed of 1-3 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from +8.3°С to +14.4°С, relative humidity range from 65% to 94%).

In the air of Gomel near Barykina st., 319 on March 30, short-term exceeding of the quality standard for carbon oxide was recorded at 10:00 by 1.3 times, at 11:40 by 1.1 times (a South wind was observed at a speed of 4 m/s, the air temperature was +10.7°С, relative humidity was 47%). On March 30, the average daily concentration of PM-10 exceeded the quality standard 1.3 times (Southern, SouthWestern wind prevailed at a speed of 3-5 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from +4.4°С to +12.7°С, relative humidity range from 39% to 96%). On March 31, in the specified area at night, an increase in the level of air pollution with carbon monoxide was observed: in the period from 00:20 to 01:40, the maximum one-time concentrations varied in the range of 1.4-2.0 MAC, during the period from 02:20 to 03:00 - they amounted to 1.1 MAC (South wind was observed at a speed of 3-4 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from +7.5°С to +8.7°С, relative humidity range from 73% to 86%).
