The state institution "Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring" informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from September 20 to 27, 2023.

In the air of Gomel in the area of Barykina str., 319 on September 21, 2023 at 19:20 h. the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.21 MPC (there was a south wind with a speed of 1 m/s, the air temperature was +23.0°C, relative humidity – 35%).

In the air of Novopolotsk in the area of residential building No. 135 on Molodezhnaya Street on September 21, 2023 at 13:00 h. the concentration of solid particles (undifferentiated dust/aerosol) was 1.27 MPC (there was a south-south-easterly wind with a speed of 1 m/s, the air temperature was +20.4°C, relative humidity – 63%), at 19:00 h. – 1.09 MPC (there was a south wind with a speed of 2 m/s, the air temperature was +20.9°C, relative humidity – 60%), on September 23, 2023 at 13:00 h. and 19:00 h. – 1.28 MPC (at 13:00 h. there was an easterly-southeasterly wind with a speed of 2 m/s, the air temperature was +21.8°C, relative humidity - 65%, at 19:00 h. there was a southerly wind with a speed of 2 m/s, the air temperature was +21.5°C, relative humidity – 73%), September 27, 2023 at 13:00 h. – 1.25 MPC (there was a south-south-easterly wind with a speed of 2 m/s, the air temperature was +20.2°C, relative humidity – 58%), at 19:00 h. – 1.07 MPC (calm was observed, the air temperature was +20.2°C, relative humidity – 64%). In the 8th microdistrict on September 27, 2023 at 13:00 h. the concentration of solid particles (undifferentiated dust/aerosol) was 1.43 MPC (there was a south-easterly wind with a speed of 1 m/s, the air temperature was +20.48°C, relative humidity – 55%).

In the air of Brest in the area of street Severnaya, 75 on September 23, 2023, a single excess of the MPC standard for ground-level ozone, established for a 1-hour period, was recorded: the concentration of ground-level ozone from 17:00 h. to 18:00 h. was 1.06 MPC (there was a westerly wind at a speed of 1 m/s, the air temperature was +22.6°C, relative humidity – 77%).

In the air village Penki (Mozyr district) On September 23, 2023, the average daily concentration of ground-level ozone was 1.01 MPC (south-easterly, southerly wind with an average speed of 3 m/s, gusts up to 10 m/s, rain, air temperature ranged from +15.9°C to +25.7°C, relative humidity – from 47% to 75%), on September 23, 2023 at 21:40 h. the concentration of sulfur dioxide was 1.17 MPC (there was a south-easterly wind with a speed of 3 m/s, the air temperature was +19.2°C, relative humidity – 61%).

In the air of Zhlobin in the area of Prigorodnaya str., 12 on September 22, 2023, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size was 1.88 MPC, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size was 1.23 MPC (there was a south–easterly wind with an average speed of 2 m/s, gusts up to 9 m/c, the air temperature ranged from +13.2°C to +26.3°C, relative humidity – from 38% to 92%). In the specified area on September 23, 2023 the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size was 1.78 MPC, (there was a south wind with an average speed of 2 m/s, gusts up to 10 m/s, air temperature ranged from +14.3°C to +26.5°C, relative humidity – from 49% to 90%), September 24, 2023 – 1.38 MPC, (there was a south-westerly wind with an average speed of 1 m/s, gusts up to 7 m/s, rain, air temperature ranged from +15.4°C to +26.6°C, relative humidity – from 59% to 92%).

In the air of Mogilev on September 20, 2023, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide in the area of Movchansky Street, 4 and in the area of house No. 10 on Pervomaiskaya Street exceeded the MPC standard by 1.2 times (calm, south-east, south wind with a speed of 1-3 m/s, rain, drizzle, haze, air temperature were observed it varied in the range from +13.2°C to +15.7°C, relative humidity – from 63% to 99%). In the area of the house No. 10 on Pervomaiskaya Street, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide on September 22, 2023 at 13:00 h. it was 1.1 MPC (there was a south-easterly wind with a speed of 3 m/s, air temperature +17.5°C, relative humidity – 69%), the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the MPC standard by 2.0 times (there were south-easterly, southerly, easterly winds with a speed of 1 – 5 m/s, temperature air temperature varied in the range from +14.6°C to +25.1°C, relative humidity – from 38% to 97%). In the specified area on September 23, 2023 at 01:00 h. the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.4 MPC (there was a south-easterly wind with a speed of 2 m/s, air temperature +18.6°C, relative humidity – 61%, at 07:00 h. – 1.2 MPC (there was a south-easterly wind with a speed of 1 m/s, air temperature +14.9°C, relative humidity – 72%), at 19:00 h. – 1.3 MPC (there was a south-south-easterly wind with a speed of 4 m/s, the air temperature was +24.0°C, relative humidity – 53%), the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide in the area of house No. 10 on Pervomaiskaya Street exceeded the MPC standard 2.7 times, in the area of street Kashtanovaya, 5 – 1.4 times (there was a south-easterly, south–easterly wind with a speed of 1 - 4 m/s, rain; air temperature ranged from +13.7°C to +24.3°C, relative humidity – from 52% to 78%). In the area of house No. 10 on Pervomaiskaya Street on September 25 and 26, 2023, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the MPC standard by 1.3 times (on September 25, 2023, north-westerly, northerly wind with a speed of 1-2 m/s, haze were observed, the air temperature ranged from +13.2°C to +19.7°C, relative humidity – from 54% to 97%, September 26, 2023 there was a calm, south-easterly, southerly wind with a speed of 1-2 m/s, the air temperature ranged from +7.5°C to +20.5°C, relative humidity – from 46% to 97%).
