Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from 2 to 10 October, 2024)
The state institution "Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring" informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from October 2 to October 10, 2024.
In the air of Mogilev on Chelyuskintsev Street in the area of house No. 45 and in the area of house N.10 on Pervomaiskaya Street on October 2, 2024, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.2 MPC (calm was observed, air temperature ranged from +6.9°C to +14.1°C, relative humidity – from 10% to 95%). In the area of house No.10 on Pervomaiskaya Street on October 5, 2024, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the MPC standard by 1.2 times (north, north-east, east wind was observed, air temperature ranged from +9.7°C to +11.9°C, relative humidity – from 76% to 90%).
In the air of Zhlobin in the area of Prigorodnaya str.,12 on October 3, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size was 1.47 MPC, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size was 1.47 MPC (east-northeast wind prevailed with an average speed of 1 m/s, gusts up to 6 m/s, rain was observed, air temperature varied in the range from +7.7°C to +19.1°C, relative humidity – from 42% to 98%).
In the air of Gomel in the area of Barykina str.,319 on October 4, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions of the size up to 10 microns was 1.63 MPC (there was a south-southeasterly wind with a speed of 2 m/s, gusts up to 5 m/s, rain, air temperature ranged from +12.2°C to +18.1°C, relative humidity – from 52% to 98%), on October 9, 2024 – 1.30 MPC (south-south-easterly wind prevailed, with a speed of 2 m/s, gusts up to 6 m/s, fog was observed, air temperature ranged from +3.4°C to +17.3°C, relative humidity – from 59% to 100%).
In the air of Brest in the area of Severnaya str.,75 on October 9, 2024, the average daily concentration of ground–level ozone was 1.1 MPC (wind of variable directions with a speed of 1-4 m/s was observed, air temperature ranged from +12.5°C to +22.4°C, relative humidity - from 53% to 88%).
In the air of Novopolotsk in the 8th microdistrict on October 9, 2024 at 01:00 the concentration of phenol was 1.5 MPC (calm was observed, the air temperature was +2.6°C, relative humidity – 98%), on October 10, 2024 at 01:00 the concentration of phenol was 1.2 MPC (a south-easterly wind was observed, the air temperature was +2.0°C, relative humidity was 99%). In the area of residential building No. 135 on Molodezhnaya Street on October 10, 2024 at 01:00 the concentration of phenol was 1.1 MPC (there was a south-easterly wind, the air temperature was +2.0°C, relative humidity – 99%).
Due to the manufacturer's maintenance work on gas analyzers with a set of sensor devices until 01.11.2024, exceedances in the cities of Bereza, Dobrush, Smorgon and Molodechno will not be taken into account.
