The state institution "Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Pollution and Environmental Monitoring" informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from January 17 to January 25, 2024.

In the air of Mogilev, in the area of house No. 10 on Pervomaiskaya Street on January 17, 2024, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the MPC standard by 1.3 times (south-easterly winds of the western quarter were observed at a speed of 1-3 m/s, air temperature ranged from -12.8°C to -7.0°C, relative humidity – from 56% to 75%). In the specified area on January 19, 2024 at 13:00 h. the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.2 MPC (north-westerly wind with a speed of 2 m/s was observed, haze, air temperature was -4.7°C, relative humidity was 89%), the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the MPC standard by 1.3 times (calm, south, north-westerly, westerly wind with a speed of 1 – 2 m/s, haze, air temperature ranged from -2.5°C to -6.0°C, relative humidity – from 77% to 89%).

In the air of Zhlobin in the area of Prigorodnaya str., 12 on January 18, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size was 1.12 MPC (south wind with an average speed of 4 m/s, gusts up to 13 m/s, snow, rain, air temperature ranged from -11.1°C up to +1.5°C, relative humidity – from 58% to 99%), January 19, 2024 – 1.14 MPC (there was a northwesterly wind with an average speed of 1 m/s, gusts up to 7 m/s, rain, air temperature ranged from -7.0°C to +1.5°C, relative humidity - from 85% to 99%), January 21, 2024 – 1.05 MPC (there was a northeast wind with an average speed of 1 m/s, gusts up to 6 m/s, snow, air temperature ranged from -10.4°C to -2.9°C, relative humidity - from 79% to 96%), January 23, 2024. – 1.28 MPC (there was a southerly wind with an average speed of 5 m/s, gusts up to 13 m/s, snow, air temperature ranged from -4.0°C to -0.2°C, relative humidity – from 78% to 97%).

In the air of Gomel in the area of Barykina str., 319 on January 18, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size was 1.35 MPC (there was an easterly, southeasterly wind with an average speed of 4 m/s, gusts up to 12 m/s, snow, rain, air temperature ranged from -10.6°C to +2.4°C, relative humidity – from 61% to 98%), January 23, 2024 – 1.09 MPC (south wind with an average speed of 5 m/s, gusts up to 13 m/s, snow, air temperature ranged from -2.6°C to +0.6°C, relative humidity – from 78% to 97%).
