Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from 15th to 21th of September, 2022)

The state institution "Republican Center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring" informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from September 15 to September 21, 2022.

In the air of Polotsk in the area of residential building No. 9 on Yubileynaya St. on September 15, 2022 at 07:40 h. the concentration of nitrogen oxide was 1.2 MPC (a south wind with a speed of 2 m /s was observed, the air temperature was +10.2°C, relative humidity – 99%); at 18:20 h. – 1.02 MPC (a weak south-easterly wind was observed, the air temperature was +14.7°C, relative humidity – 87%); September 20, 2022 at 19:20 h. – 1.2 MPC (calm was observed, the air temperature was +11.3°C, relative humidity – 91%); at 20:20 ch . – 1.5 MPC (mild calm was observed, the air temperature was +10.0°C, relative humidity – 96%); at 21:00 h. – 1.3 MPC (calm was observed, the air temperature was +9.8°C, relative humidity – 96%).

In the air of Gomel in the area of Barykina str., 319 on September 15, 2022 at 16:40 h. the concentration of carbon oxide was 1.7 MPC (there was a weak south-westerly wind, the air temperature was +16.8°C, relative humidity – 93%); on September 20, 2022 at 08:40 h. – 1.06 MPC (there was a south wind with a speed of 2 m/s, the air temperature was +6.8°C, relative humidity – 98%), at 20:20 h. – 1.08 MPC (there was a weak south wind, the air temperature was +11.2°C, relative humidity – 83%).

In the air of Mogilev, in the area of Kashtanova str., 5 on September 17, 2022, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the MPC standard by 1.8 times, there was a south, south-west, west wind with a speed of 1 – 4 m/s, gusts up to 12 m/s, the air temperature ranged from +7.7°C to +16.9°C, relative humidity – from 45% to 89%); on September 19, 2022 – by 1.1 times (northern, south-western, western and north-westerly wind with a speed of 1 – 4 m/s, the air temperature ranged from +7.4°C to +12.7°C, relative humidity – from 73% to 97%). In the specified area, on September 17, 2022, 2 cases of exceeding the maximum one–time MPC for nitrogen dioxide were also recorded: at 13:00 h. the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.1 MPC (a westerly wind with a speed of 4 m/s was observed, the air temperature was +15.8°C, relative humidity - 50%); at 19:00 ch . – 1.2 MPC (there was a southwest wind with a speed of 3 m/s, the air temperature was +16.4°C, relative humidity – 45%).
