Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from 15 to 21 of February, 2024)
The state institution "Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Contamination and Environmental Monitoring" informs about the exceedances of the MPC standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from February 15 to 21, 2024.
In the air of Novopolotsk in the area of the administrative building on Molodezhnaya str.,49, building 1 on February 17, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size was 1.40 MPC (south, south-south-west, south-west wind with a speed of 3-7 m/s, rain, drizzle, haze, air temperature ranged from -0.1° from up to +3.7° C, relative humidity – from 80% to 96%).
In the air of Mogilev in the area Pervomaiskaya Street,10 on February 19, 2024, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide slightly (1.01 times) exceeded the MPC standard (calm, south-easterly, southerly wind with a speed of 1-2 m/s were observed, the air temperature ranged from +0.7°C to -3.3° C, relative humidity – from 50% to 78%).
In the air of Gomel in the area of Barykina str., 319 on February 19, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size, was 1.44 MPC (calm was observed, wind of variable directions with an average speed of 1 m/s, gusts up to 5 m/s, air temperature ranged from -5.4°C up to +0.6°C, relative humidity – from 45% to 89%).
In the air of Polotsk in the area of residential building No 9 on Yubileynaya Street on February 17, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size was 1.23 MPC (south, south-south-west, south-west wind with a speed of 3-7 m/s, rain, drizzle, haze, temperature were observed the temperature of the air varied in the range from -0.1°C to +3.7°C, relative humidity – from 80% to 96%). In the area of the building "House of life" on Oktyabrskaya street, 54 on February 20, 2023, at 07:00 a.m., the concentration of solid particles (undifferentiated dust/aerosol) was 1.3 MPC (a south-southeast wind with a speed of 3 m/s was observed, the air temperature was -1.7°C, relative humidity was 65%).
In the air of Zhlobin in the area of Prigorodnaya street, 12 on February 20, 2024, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size, was 1.47 MPC (south wind with an average speed of 3 m/s, gusts up to 10 m/s, snow, air temperature ranged from -2.0°C to -1.0°C, relative humidity – from 62% to 92 %).
