Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from 11 to 17 on February 2021)

State institution «Republican center for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and environmental monitoring» informs about exceeding of the quality standards of pollutants in the atmospheric air of cities of Belarus for the period from 11 to 17 February 2021 was recorded.
In the air of Polotsk near Kulneva str. on February 11, in the period from 09:00 to 10:40, an increase in the level of air pollution with nitrogen oxide was recorded: the maximum one-time concentrations varied in the range of 1.3-2.2 MAC (a weak North wind was observed, air temperature was -17.8°С, relative humidity was 90%). In this area on February 15, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the quality standard by 1.7 times (there was a weak Northwestern wind, calm, the air temperature varied in the range from -16.8°C to -7.8°C, relative humidity varied in the range from 55% to 90%).
In the air of Zhlobin near Prigorodnaya str. on February 11, the average daily concentration of solid particles of fraction size up to 2.5 microns exceeded the quality standard by 1.9 times (the North wind prevailed at a speed of 1-3 m/s, calm, the air temperature varied in the range from -11.4°C to -10.1°C, relative humidity varied in the range from 79% to 85%); On February 12 by 1.6 times (the North wind prevailed at a speed of 2-4 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from -13.2°С to -11.5°С, relative humidity varied in the range from 75% to 85%); On February 13 by 1.4 times (Northern, North-western winds were observed at a speed of 3-4 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from -13.1°С to -10.2°С, relative humidity varied in the range from 58% up to 83%).
In the air of Mogilev in the area of Krupskaya lane 5 on February 12, the average daily concentration of solid particles of fraction up to 10 microns in size was 2.2 MAC (a North, Northeastern wind was observed at a speed of
4-6 m/s, the air temperature varied from -13.8°C to -12.0°C, relative humidity varied in the range from 72% to 77%); on February 13 by 1.8 MAC (Northern, North-Western winds were observed at a speed of 2-5 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from -13.1°С to -10.6°С, relative humidity varied in the range from 53% to 79%).
In the air of Minsk near Heroes of 120th Division str. on February 16 in the period from 09:00 to 11:00, an increase in the level of air pollution with nitrogen oxide was recorded: the maximum one-time concentrations varied in the range of 1.1-1.5 MAC (variable wind was observed , calm, air temperature was -21.8°С, relative humidity was 84%). Also in this area on February 16, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the quality standard by 1.3 times (in the first half of the day calm prevailed, in the second half of the day was the Southwestern wind with a speed of 2-3 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from -22.1°С to -5.6°С, relative humidity varied in the range from 64 % to 85%).
In the air of Novopolotsk near Molodezhnaya street, 49 on February 16 and 17, the average daily concentration of sulfur dioxide was 1.1 MAC (on February 16, the Southwestern wind prevailed at a speed of 1-4 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from -18.4°С to -4.2°С, relative humidity varied in the range from 61% to 85%; on February 17, the North-East wind prevailed at a speed of 1-2 m/s, the air temperature varied in the range from -15.0°С to -4.8°С, relative humidity varied in the range from 68% up to 86%).
