On May 10, Minsk became the center of a solemn celebration dedicated to the Day of the State Flag, State Emblem and State Anthem of the Republic of Belarus. The State Flag Square, a symbol of national pride and unity, gathered thousands of Belarusians brought together by their love for their Motherland.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the younger generation – students from youth and military-patriotic classes and clubs, active members of public associations, employees from the country’s leading labor collectives, as well as cadets and military personnel. Among the participants demonstrating their civic stance and respect for state symbols were also employees of Belhydromet, led by Deputy Head for Ideological Work, Viktoryia Nevadnichaya.
The highlight of the celebration was a procession with the national flag, striking in its scale. The banner, measuring 9 by 500 meters – a symbol of Belarus’ sovereignty and independence – was proudly carried by over 800 people. The column, stretching for hundreds of meters, moved along Victors Avenue, starting its route from the “Minsk – Hero City” stele and concluding at the place of honor – the State Flag Square.

The participation of Belhydromet employees in this significant event is vivid evidence of their deep respect for the national heritage, historical memory, and active civic stance. It is yet another affirmation that every citizen of Belarus is an integral part of a large and strong country, is proud of its symbols, and is ready to serve its interests.
