Saturday night into Sunday: the peak of convective activity! Thunderstorms rumbled across most of the country, with heavy downpours reported in the northwest.
Sunday, August 2: precipitation gradually weakened.
During the daytime on August 1 and the night of August 2, the precipitation was accompanied in places by strong gusty winds (15 m/s or more).
In terms of precipitation amounts, the northwestern half of the republic received the most:
In some areas of the northwestern half of the country, up to 32% of the monthly norm fell.
The record-breaker was Grodno: in just two days, 33 mm of precipitation fell there — that is 58% of the entire August norm!
