The warm autumn days continue, but the first frosts are approaching

After a week of rainy and cool weather caused by turbulent cyclones, a ridge of high pressure from a distant Siberian anticyclone has rushed toward us, which will already today form into an independent baric formation with its center over the territory of our country and will continue to determine synoptic processes until the end of the current week. Therefore, with the support of anticyclone ARNO, Belarusians can expect predominantly dry and sunny weather, corresponding to all the canons of "Indian summer."

At the same time, as a result of the influx of moderately warm air masses along the periphery of the anticyclone, the temperature background is forecast to be mainly 1-4°C above the climatic norm. As a result, during the day the rays of the autumn sun, breaking through the branches of trees, will not only turn every leaf into pure gold, but will also cause thermometers to fluctuate between +12°C and +21°C.
Moreover, one should not forget that the duration of daylight hours decreases by 4 minutes each day, and following sunset, the air temperature will drop rapidly, decreasing during the night hours from +1°C to +11°C, and on clear and calm nights of October 2-4 (Friday-Sunday), frosts of 0, -2°C are not excluded in certain districts of the republic.
Also, due to radiative cooling of the surface during the night and morning hours, there is a high probability of fog.
In this regard, gardeners need to take care in advance of harvesting and covering their crops, and drivers should be extremely attentive on the roads, maintaining distance and speed limits.
