The delegation of Belhydromet took part in the 17th meeting of the working group on interaction of interested branches of Belhydromet and FSBI DHEM, CHEM - branches of FGBI DHEM of Roshydromet
On August 30 and 31, 2023, the 17th meeting of the working group on interaction of interested branches of Belhydromet and Federal State Budgetary Institution of the Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (FSBI DHEM), Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (CHEM)- branches of FGBI DHEM of Roshydromet (hereinafter referred to as the working group) was held at the Minsk Meteorological Station. The meeting was attended by representatives of Belhydromet, the central office of Roshydromet and its regional Departments for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, as well as the head of the Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution "Institute for Advanced Training of Managers and Specialists" of Roshydromet and the director of the representative office of the Russian State Hydrometeorological University in Moscow.
The co-chairs of the working group made welcoming remarks: Svetlana Kuzmich, First Deputy Head of Belhydromet, and Ivan Evdokimov, Head of the Department of the State Monitoring Network and Scientific Research of Roshydromet.
An excursion on the Minsk meteorological station was held for the participants of the meeting, where they were able to get acquainted with the work of meteorologists and the instruments used at the station.
At the meeting topical issues that aroused genuine interest from both the Belarusian and Russian sides were discussed. In particular, the issues of environmental monitoring and metrological support, prospects for the development of agrometeorological support of the agricultural complex were discussed. Attention was also paid to the issues of providing consumers with hydrometeorological information. The issue of interaction with higher educational institutions, training and advanced training of specialists in the field of hydrometeorology and related fields was discussed.
