Tamara Gomonova took part in the Message of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly
On March 31, 2023, the head of Belhydromet Tamara Gomonova, as part of the delegation of the Ministry of Natural Resources, took part in the Message of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly.
Among the participants are parliamentarians and delegations from the regions and the city of Minsk, senior officials of the country, members of the government, mass media, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations, heads of religious denominations, parliamentarians of past convocations, representatives of the real sector of the economy, young people, representatives of civil society, journalists. In total, more than 2,500 people took part in that event.
Alexander Lukashenko: "Belarus is our land. Only we know how Belarus should develop, only we determine and will determine the strategy of this development, only we bear real responsibility for our future."
"Dear friends, I am absolutely aware, it just so happened, maybe at the behest of the God, maybe we conducted such a policy that millions, millions of eyes are watching this hall today. The great minds of our humanity are concentrated in this hall today, sorry for the indiscretion, I will not hide it – and outside our country," the President said.
The Belarusian leader said that he closely followed the wishes of citizens in the media. "I saw who would like what to hear today. I understand you, but you understand me. Today I am limited by certain limits. First of all, this is the annual Message of the President. Secondly, it is a concentrated look at the situation in the country and beyond, and tasks for the future. And third, we have provided answers to the questions. This is such a democratic step. It has long been undertaken by us – the Parliament and the President. And if I don't touch on some issue, some problem that the state and our people are facing, you have the opportunity to clarify something or ask an additional question. I think that together with you we will find answers to all the questions that our society is facing today," Alexander Lukashenko said.
The theme of the event is "Conditions for the preservation of sovereignty and independence". The Head of State stated that this issue has never been so acute in the recent history of Belarus.
"Never in history have we approached such a dangerous line when it is necessary to pay special attention to the preservation of the sovereignty and independence of our country. I mean our recent history. Therefore, I will try to state the main conditions from my point of view. And through them I will try to determine our current tasks, first of all for the current year. But, naturally, through the current problems, we will try to look beyond the horizon, look and think: which way to go? And what attempts have we made? And what we will do tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Naturally, let's start with the general – without which it is impossible to determine either current or future tasks," the President stressed.
