Representatives of Belhydromet took part in the 23rd Climate Forum of the CIS countries on seasonal forecasts (SEAKOV-23)
The 23rd session of the North Eurasian Climate Forum (SEOCAFE-23) was held in a remote format on November 29-30, 2022.
For reference: the main task of the SEDAKOV forum is to unite the efforts of scientists and specialists in the field of long-term forecasting to improve the quality of forecasting the behavior of the climate system for the upcoming season.
The purpose of SEACOF-23 is to assess the current climatic anomalies in Northern Eurasia, compile a consensus forecast of air temperature and precipitation for the upcoming winter 2022/2023 and discuss the possible consequences of the expected anomalies on the economy and social sphere.
Representatives of Belhydromet made a report on the validity of the consensus forecast of the North Eurasian Climate Center (SEACC) for the summer of 2022, as well as information on the impact of seasonal anomalies of air temperature and precipitation on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on economic sectors and the population.
