Radiation situation on the territory of the republic of Belarus
In connection with the fire on June 5, 2018 in the territory of Ukraine in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the State institution "Republican сenter for hydrometeorology, control of radioactive contamination and еnvironmental monitoring" reports:
At 09 hours on June 6, 2018, the radiation situation in the Gomel region, as well as in the whole of the republic of Belarus, remains stable.
According to the data of stationary observation stations for radiation monitoring and measuring points of the automated radiation monitoring system located in the border areas of Belarus in the zone of influence of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the excess of the dose rate levels of gamma radiation over long-term values has not been recorded.
The radiation background on the territory of the republic of Belarus is under constant control.
