Day of People's Unity: september 17 — a date that unites the country

On September 17, the Republic of Belarus celebrates the Day of People's Unity.

This is a holiday that symbolizes the historical community and the unbreakable bond between generations of the Belarusian people. On this day, we recall the events that formed the foundation of the modern Belarusian statehood, and we look to the future with gratitude, relying on the strength of our unity.

The date was not chosen by chance: it is connected to the events of 1939, when the reunification of the divided parts of the Belarusian people took place. For many families, this became a moment of restoring historical justice and returning to a shared national destiny. Today, the meaning of the holiday goes beyond a single date — it reflects the idea of national accord and the continuity of generations.

The Belarusian people have always been distinguished by their industriousness, resilience, and striving for peace. The Day of People's Unity is an opportunity to once again recognize the value of our common home, our Motherland, and to strengthen our commitment to its prosperity.

The celebration of the Day of People's Unity in Belarus is not only an occasion for festivities, but also a time for reflecting on our common path. This is a day when we take pride in our history, value the present, and confidently build the future, based on common values and the aspiration for well-being for all citizens of our country.

Belhydromet congratulates everyone on this significant day and wishes peace, goodness, and prosperity to our beloved Belarus!
