Belhydromet took part in a patriotic bike ride in honor of Victory Day

On May 7, 2026, on the eve of Victory Day, representatives of our organization – Ulladzimir Kasyanenka, Chairman of the Primary Organization of the Public Association "White Rus" of Belhydromet and Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Matvey Chatyrka, Lead Weather Forecaster of the Meteorological Forecast Service – took part in the patriotic bike ride "Roads of Memory," dedicated to this momentous occasion. The bike ride, organized by the administration of the Pervomaisky District, brought together dedicated employees from various organizations across the district – all those who wish to pay tribute to the heroic feat of the victorious generation.

The event started at the Pervomaisky District Administration building. From there, participants followed a special route – to the National Library of Belarus, and then to the Eastern Cemetery. Every kilometer along the way served as a reminder of the importance of preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War and the value of peace, for which millions of lives were given.

Participation in such events is not a mere formality, but an opportunity to personally express gratitude to the heroes who gave us a peaceful sky above our heads.

After laying flowers at the mass grave of Soviet soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War (1941–1944) at the Eastern Cemetery, the program continued with an educational tour, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the history and significance of the Great Victory.

Belhydromet’s participation in the bike ride was a vivid example of active citizenship and a tribute to the country’s heroic past. Such events strengthen the patriotic spirit, remind us of the value of peace and the need to protect it, and demonstrate the unity of society in honoring the victory of the triumphant generation.
