On September 17, the republican forum "Youth. Belarus. Future" was held in Minsk, dedicated to the Day of People's Unity.

The large-scale event brought together not only representatives of the younger generation, but also people of middle age — in this way the organizers emphasized the importance of dialogue between generations and the preservation of continuity as the foundation of stability in Belarusian society.
The work of the venue was attended by the chairperson of the primary organization of the public association "Belarusian Union of Women" of Belhydromet, Deputy Head for Ideological Work Viktoria Nevodnichaya, as well as young specialists of the institution — weather forecast engineers Nikita Potapov and Alexey Makarov. The presence of experienced mentors and emerging professionals clearly demonstrated how personnel work is structured within the Belhydromet system and how the connection between different generations of specialists is maintained.

The key message of the forum was the words of the head of state that Belarus is a country of opportunities: "We have a country of opportunities. Quiet, calm, without war, thank God. You must preserve all of this in the future. Not make it worse. A heaviest burden will fall on your shoulders (it cannot be heavier, believe me) — to be responsible for this unity, for the Belarusian people, for the land where we live peacefully today." These words set a special tone for the discussion: it was not only about prospects, but also about responsibility before the country and future generations.

For the young specialists of Belhydromet, participation in such a forum is not merely an opportunity to hear important social guidelines, but also a chance to see their place in the larger state system, to understand how their daily work — preparing forecasts, environmental monitoring, radiation monitoring, and other important areas of activity — fits into the overall picture of the well-being and resilience of the country.
The forum once again confirmed: in Belarus, conditions are being created for unlocking the potential of young people, and state institutions, including Belhydromet, are actively involved in this work. Continuity of generations, professional development, and civic responsibility — these are the values that are consistently implemented in the daily activities of the service and receive further development at major public venues.
