A new automatic weather station has opened in Bykhov!

The modernization of the meteorological network of the Mogilev region is reaching a new level. Now weather and climate in the Bykhov district will be monitored by next-generation automation operating 24/7.

The grand opening of the automatic weather station brought together district leadership, environmental specialists, emergency responders, and hydrometeorologists.

Among the honored guests of the event:

- Alexander Kiselev — Chairman of the Bykhov District Executive Committee;
- Vyacheslav Sidorenko — Chairman of the Bykhov District Council of Deputies;
- Alexander Saksonov — Deputy Chairman of the Bykhov District Executive Committee;
- Andrey Sidoruk — Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection;
- Nikolay Kostusev — Head of the "Mogilevoblhydromet" Branch;
- Alexander Lysukho — Head of the Bykhov District Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations;
- Artemy Shadurin — Head of the Bykhov District Inspectorate.

The most special and inspired participants of the opening were the children from the environmental class. For the future defenders of nature, the ceremony turned into a truly interactive lesson — the children were the first to see how digital sensors measuring temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speed, and precipitation work.

The automatic station transmits data instantly. This will help weather forecasters predict dangerous weather phenomena more accurately, while the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the district's agricultural workers will be able to respond more promptly to nature's whims.
