On that day, daily maximum air temperature records were broken at 21 weather stations: across the entire territory of the Grodno and Brest regions, at one weather station each in the Vitebsk, Mogilev, and Gomel regions, and 5 weather stations updated their daily records in the Minsk region.
The previous records were set in 1994, 2005, and 2019, while at the Minsk weather station the record of 1932 was broken (that year, the thermometer in the capital rose to +27.4°C).
On 9 September 2026, the maximum air temperature in Minsk was +28.0°C.
