As of September 5, a decrease in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-13 cm was observed on the Dnieper, the Berezina, the Sozh, the Pripyat, the Vilia, as well as the greater part of the Western Dvina and the Neman rivers. An increase in water levels is noted only on the Western Dvina near Polotsk and the Neman near Grodno.
At the mouth of the Neman river Ross near Studenets water level reaches the water outlet mark on the floodplain.
Unfavorable conditions for river transport are observed on the Western Dvina near Vitebsk, the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa, Loev, the Berezina near Bobruisk, Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Krichev, Slavgorod and Gomel.
The water temperature ranges from 14°C to 22°C in rivers and from 19°C to 22°C in reservoirs.
In the coming days, the rivers will experience fluctuations in water levels with a downward trend.
