Overview of hydrological situation of September 30, 2024

As of September 30, fluctuations in water levels with a tendency to decrease are observed on the rivers of the basins of the Western Dvina, the Neman, the Vilia, the Dnieper and the Western Bug. On the rivers of the Berezina, the Sozh and the Pripyat basins there is an increase in water levels with an intensity of 1-4 cm per day.
On the Western Dvina near Vitebsk, the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa and Loev, the Berezina near Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Slavgorod, Krichev and Gomel water levels are below the marks limiting navigation.
The water temperature has dropped and ranges in rivers from 9°C to 17°C, in reservoirs is from 1°C to 18°C.
In the coming days fluctuations in water levels will be noted on the rivers, and the water temperature will decrease.
