Overview of hydrological situation of October 15, 2024

In the past period (October 11-14), an increase in water levels prevailed on the rivers as a result of which conditions for river transport improved on the Sozh near Krichev.
As of October 15, the rivers continue to increase water levels with an intensity of 1-18 cm per day.
On the Western Dvina near Vitebsk, the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa and Loev, the Berezina near Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Slavgorod, and Gomel water levels are below the marks limiting navigation.
The water temperature has dropped and ranges in rivers from 7.7°C to 13°C, in reservoirs are from 9.1° C to 13°C.
By the end of this week water levels will continue to rise on most rivers as a result of which conditions for navigation on the Western Dvina near Vitebsk and the Berezina near Svetlogorsk will improve.
