Over the past period (May 21-25) mainly an increase in water levels on the rivers was observed as a result of which conditions for river transport improved on the Dnieper near Mogilev and the Berezina near Svetlogorsk.
As of May 26 on the Pripyat, the Vilia, the Western Dvina near Vitebsk and Verkhnedvinsk, on their tributaries, as well as on the Neman in the Stolbtsy–Belitsa area, the Dnieper in the Zhlobin–Rechitsa area, the Berezina in the Borisov–Berezino area, the Sozh near Slavgorod, Gomel, on their individual tributaries and on several tributaries of the Western Bug an increase in water levels with a daily intensity of up to 35 cm was recorded. The rest of the rivers mentioned above show a decrease in water levels with an intensity of 1-19 cm per day.
On the Neman near Grodno and the Berezina near Bobruisk water levels are below the levels limiting navigation.
The water temperature ranges from 11°C to 18°C in rivers and from 12°C to 16°C in reservoirs.
Water levels will continue to rise on most rivers until the end of this week.
