As of May 20, on most rivers of the country, water level fluctuations with a daily intensity of 1–29 cm are observed. In the rivers of the Sozh River basin, water levels are rising at a rate of 1–10 cm per day.
On the Viliya River near the agricultural town of Steshitsy and on the Iput River (a tributary of the Sozh) near the town of Dobrush, water levels exceed the floodplain thresholds. On the Berezina River near the town of Berezino, the water level is close to the floodplain level.
On the Neman River near the city of Grodno, the water level is below the navigation limit.
Water temperatures have risen and range from 10°C to 20°C in rivers, and from 13°C to 18°C in reservoirs.
In the coming days, water level fluctuations will continue on the rivers, and water temperatures will rise.
