Overview of hydrological situation of March 4, 2025
In the past 24 hours the Neman River near agrotown Belitsa and the tributary of the Pripyat, the Lan River near the village Mokrovo, have opened. The tributary of the Vilia, the Uzlyanka River, the Sushanka River (a tributary of the Berezina), and the tributaries of the Pripyat, the Neslukha River near the agrotown Rudsk and Bychok canal at the agrotown Ozerany were completely cleared of ice formations.
As of March 4, freeze up and freeze up with polynyas are observed on the Berezina, the Pripyat, the greater part of the Dnieper River and parts of the Western Dvina, the the Neman, and the Sozh rivers. Freeze-up is observed in the reservoirs of Chigirinskoye, Zaslavskoye, Vileyskoye, Soligorskoye, Krasnaya Sloboda, lakes Naroch, Lukomskoye, Drivyaty and Chervonoye. The ice structure is changing, the ice has darkened in places, cracks in the ice cover have appeared in some parts of the rivers, and water on ice is everywhere.
Fluctuations in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-17 cm are observed. In the next 24 hours the slow melting of the ice cover will continue. There will be fluctuations in water levels on the rivers, on the Dnieper near the agrotown Loev water level will exceed the water outlet mark on the floodplain.
