During the past period (July 16-20), fluctuations in water levels were observed on the rivers, as a result of which conditions for river transport improved on the Sozh near Krichev, and on the Dnieper near Rechitsa, the water level dropped below the level limiting navigation.
As of July 21, on the Western Dvina, Vilia, Sozh, Neman near the agro–town of Belitsa, the Dnieper on the Orsha –Mogilev section, the Berezina on the Borisov - Bobruisk section and the Pripyat near Pinsk, there is an increase in water levels with an intensity of up to 50 cm per day. The rest of the rivers mentioned above show a decrease in water levels.
On the Neman tributary, the Ross River near the village of Studenets, and on the Berezina tributary, the Beaver River near the village of Kuta, water levels exceed the water outlet marks on the floodplain.
Unfavorable conditions for river transport are observed on the Neman River near Grodno, the Dnieper River near Mogilev, the city of Zhlobin, the city of Rechitsa, the Sozh River near Slavgorod and the city of Gomel.
The water temperature ranges from 16°C to 23°C in rivers and from 21°C to 24°C in reservoirs.
In the coming days, most rivers will experience an increase in water levels due to precipitation.
