Overview of hydrological situation of January 30, 2023

 
As of January 30, glaciation with polynyas and divorces is observed on the Western Dvina near the town of Surazh and the settlement Ulla, Dnieper on the Mogilev – Zhlobin section, Berezina on the Bobruisk – Svetlogorsk section, Sozh on the Krichev – Slavgorod section and some of their tributaries. On lakes and reservoirs, the ice is preserved and the ice is incomplete. When moving on ice, safety precautions should be observed!
Fluctuations in water levels with daily intensity are mainly 1-10 cm per day are observed on the Dnieper, Berezina, Sozh, and on the Zapadnaya Dvina, Neman, Vilia and Pripyat, there is mainly a decrease in water levels with an intensity of up to 22 cm per day and their smooth course. On most rivers, the water is on the floodplain.
Water levels exceed dangerously high marks on the Berezina near Bobruisk by 13 cm, the Sozh tributary of the Pronya river near the village Letyagi by 36 cm, Pripyat at Petrikov by 1 cm and its tributary the Ptich river at Persha Slobodka by 7 cm. The water level is close to a dangerously high mark on the Pripyat tributary of the Sluch river at the settlement Lenin. 
Flooding by river waters is observed in some districts of Vitebsk, Gomel and Mogilev regions.
In the coming days, the above-mentioned hydrological situation on the rivers will continue.
