Overview of hydrological situation of January 20, 2025
In the past period (January 16-19) weather conditions contributed to the destruction of ice formations on the rivers.
As of January 20, the country's rivers were completely cleared of ice formations, and incomplete freeze-up is observed only on the Western Dvina near the town of Surazh. Freeze-up, freeze-up with polynyas and freeze-up with rims cover are observed on the reservoirs Chigirinskoye, Zaslavskoye, Soligorskoye, Krasnaya Sloboda and Lake Chervonoye. Lakes Naroch and Drivyaty are marked with submerged land-fast ice.
A decrease in water levels with an intensity of 1-6 cm per day is observed on the Western Dvina in the Surazh –Ulla section, the Neman near Grodno, the Berezina near Bobruisk and the Sozh near Krichev. The rest of the rivers mentioned above, as well as the Vilia, the Dnieper and the Pripyat show an increase in water levels and their smooth course.
Fluctuations in water levels will be observed on the rivers in the coming days.
