Overview of hydrological situation of February 2, 2023
At present, ice with polynyas and divorces is preserved on the Western Dvina near the town of Surazh and ag. Ulla, Dnieper on the Mogilev – Zhlobin section, Berezina on the Bobruisk – Svetlogorsk section, Sozh near the town of Krichev and some of their tributaries. On the rivers of the basins of the Zapandaya Dvina, Vilia, Zapadny Bug, Berezina and Sozh, there is mainly a decline in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-23 cm, on the rivers of the Neman, Dnieper and Pripyat basins, an increase in water levels with an intensity of 1-5 cm per day prevails. On most rivers, the water is on the floodplain.
Water levels exceed dangerously high levels on the Berezina near the town of Bobruisk, the Sozh tributary of the Pronya river near the village Letyagi, Pripyat near the town of Petrikov and its tributary the Ptich river near the village of Persha Slobodka. The water level is close to a dangerously high mark on the Pripyat tributary of the Sluch river at ag. Lenin.
Flooding by river waters is observed in some districts of Vitebsk, Gomel and Mogilev regions.
In the coming days, fluctuations in water levels will be observed on the rivers, on the Sozh tributary of the Pronya river at village Letyagi the water level will drop below a dangerously high level. There will be no significant changes in the ice conditions.
