Review of the agrometeorological situation of September 4, 2019
By early September, content of productive moisture in soil is sufficient for growth of sugar beet roots in most of beet-sowing areas. According to recent data from factories of sugar agro-industry, average mass of root is close to last year values and exceeds them a little. Conditions for sugar accumulations in sugar beet roots ameliorated considerably in 3rd decade of August. Duration of sunglow was 40-50 hours more than average multiyear value in the beet-sowing area. However, according to recent data from factories of sugar agro-industry average sugariness of roots is somewhat lower than last year values.
Yellowing of lower leaves on sugar beet has started on observational fields, farms has started harvest works. In the coming days, agrometeorological conditions will contribute to formation of sugar beet harvest and harvest works as well.
