Review of the agrometeorological situation of September 13, 2018
Deficit of soil moisture remains because of precipitation shortage in many beet-sowing areas of Brest region and in southern part of Minsk region. As at 10 September, according to data of sugar industry’s factories and meteorological stations, average weight of roots is a little bit less than last year. However, agrometeorological conditions for sugar accumulation in sugarbeet roots are favourable this year. Accordng to data of sugar industry’s factories, average sugariness of roots is close to basis and higher than last year.
Sugarbeet harvest started in beet-sowing farms. In the second part of September weather conditions will contribute to harvest works.
