Review of the agrometeorological situation of July 31, 2018
In recent days, weather conditions in the territory of Belarus have improved thereby acceleration of harvesting. According to recent data, summer barley and oat have gold ripeness and complete ripeness in the observed unharvested fields. Summer wheat has gold ripeness on main lands, complete ripeness is registered in the southern region and in some areas of Grodno region. Grain filling, mainly of summer wheat, continues in several observed site of Vitebsk and Mogilev regions.
Humidity of the grain has declined, however it is, in general, elevated and ranges from 16% to 24%, in some areas of Vitebsk and Mogilev regions – 26-32%. According to data of some meteorological stations in the southern part and in the west of the country, humidity of harvesting grain is closed to conditioned – 13-15%, in some sites humidity is less than conditioned – 10-11%. Winter rape and flax are harvested at the same time as spiked cereals as also fodder conservation is conducted.
In the coming days weather conditions will be better for harvesting, expected warm weather will accelerate grain after ripening.
