Review of the agrometeorological situation of February 4, 2019
Branching off of winter crops was carried out for determination of winter crops vitality at the end of January. Results shows that winter crops have normal vitality on most of the observed fields. For the whole Belarus complete aftergrowth was observed in most of winter cereal crops and winter rape samples or sparseness didn’t exceed natural mortality, multi-year herbs grew completely.
Because of remaining snow cover and low frost penetration temperature at depth of tillering node of winter cereal crops ranges around 0°С in the north-eastern part of Belarus. It causes increased consumption of nutrients and leads to the crops weakening.
