Overview of agrometeorological situation of September 7, 2023
Under the influence of the established warm and dry weather the agrometeorological conditions for the ripening and drying of corn grains are quite favorable. In most of the republic corn has waxy and full ripeness of grain. Farms are carrying out mass harvesting for silage and green fodder, in places in the southern part of the country the harvesting of corn for grain has begun.
In the near future, a favorable agrometeorological situation will remain on the territory of Belarus for the maturation of corn, the accumulation of sugar in root crops and field agricultural work. At the same time the lack of precipitation in combination with an increased temperature regime leads to a decrease in the moisture content in the soil, in the south-eastern region there is already lack of it.
