Overview of agrometeorological situation of September 6, 2024
The agrometeorological situation has worsened in Belarus due to a long-term shortage of precipitation. Atmospheric drought has intensified, and in a number of southern regions it has reached the criterion of a dangerous hydrometeorological phenomenon. The upper soil horizon is in a dry and slightly moist state in most of the republic which makes it difficult to cultivate the soil and sow winter crops.
Due to the lack of moisture, unfavorable conditions develop for the formation of the harvest of late crops, the regrowth of grasses, the maturation of flax. In the near future the lack of soil moisture will persist.
