Overview of agrometeorological situation of September 7, 2021
In recent days, agrometeorological conditions for field agricultural work have improved. In most of the territory of Belarus, the upper 10-centimeter soil layer is in a moderately moist state, which is favorable for soil cultivation and autumn sowing. Waterlogging of the upper 10-centimeter soil layer persists only in places in the extreme north-east of the country, which complicates field work here.
This week, warm, mostly without precipitation, the weather will increase the rate of harvesting cereal crops, and will also contribute to the maturation and drying of corn grain. Agro-meteorological conditions for harvesting potatoes, corn for silage, storing fodder, and raising flax trees will be favorable.
