Overview of agrometeorological situation of October 7, 2020
The previous rains have most significantly replenished the soil moisture content in the east and south-east of Belarus. According to the latest data on the main tracts of winter cereals, shoots and the third leaf are noted as well as on crops produced in the first ten days of September, a tillering takes place. In areas sown in late September and early October grain germination is observed. In winter rape the formation of a leaf rosette continues.
In the near future warm weather and sufficient moisture supply in most of Belarus will contribute to the further development of winter crops. At the same time weather conditions for harvesting, especially in the eastern half of Belarus, will not be the best.
