Overview of agrometeorological situation of October 4, 2024
As the rains pass, the moisture content of the upper soil layer improves. According to visual observations, in most of the country's territory, the upper 10-centimeter soil layer is well moistened, which is favorable for tillage, grain germination and the emergence of winter grain crops. At the same time, in most of the Brest region, in the south-eastern part of Gomel, in places in the east of Mogilev and north-west of Vitebsk region, the lack of moisture persists, conditions for soil cultivation and germination of winter grain crops remain unfavorable here.
In the coming days, due to the passing rains, the moisture content in the soil will increase. At the same time, rains will complicate harvesting operations.
