Overview of agrometeorological situation of October 27, 2023
Unstable weather with frequent, sometimes heavy, precipitation is unfavorable for field agricultural work. Passing rains increase the areas with waterlogging of the soil. On the morning of October 27, the upper 10-centimeter layer of soil on a large territory of Belarus is heavily moistened, which makes it difficult to harvest late crops and winter tillage. The most difficult situation is in the north-eastern part of Belarus, where it has become significantly colder and a snow cover has formed. In the near future, due to the expected precipitation and waterlogging of the soil, difficult conditions for field work will remain.
