Overview of agrometeorological situation of October 26, 2022
The passing rains worsen the conditions for carrying out field agricultural work, primarily reduce the pace of harvesting corn for grain. According to the latest visual observations, in places in the western part of Belarus, as well as in some areas of Vitebsk and in the south-east of the Gomel region, the upper 10-centimeter soil layer is heavily moistened. In such areas, harvesting corn for grain and silage, sugar beet, late vegetables, carrying out winter tillage is difficult. In most of the territory of the republic, the topsoil is in a moderately moist state. In the near future, weather conditions will improve and by the end of October will contribute to the harvesting and the rise of the cold.
