Overview of agrometeorological situation of October 15, 2024
In most of the territory of Belarus the topsoil is moderately moistened, in the northern and eastern regions of the republic it is waterlogged. According to the latest observational data shoots and a third leaf are observed in most of the sown areas of winter cereals, and the root system is being formed. Tillering is mainly observed in early crops. On the plots sown in early October, the germination of grain is noted. The formation of a leaf rosette continues in winter rapeseed.
In the near future cool weather will restrain the development of winter crops. Due to the expected night frosts dug-up agricultural products should not be left without shelter in the fields.
