The development of winter crops in the main areas takes place in conditions of good moisture supply. According to the results of instrumental determination of soil moisture in most of the country, the arable layer contains a sufficient amount of productive moisture. Only according to information from individual weather stations in the south-west and the extreme south-east of the country, moisture reserves in the fields turned out to be satisfactory on light soils. In the near future, rains will replenish the soil moisture content. At the same time, a decrease in the temperature regime will be a limiting factor for the development of winter crops.
The expected rains, sometimes heavy, will complicate the conditions for harvesting, raising the chill and carrying out agrotechnical measures for the care of crops. Due to the frosts predicted at the end of this week, dug-up agricultural products should not be left without shelter in the fields.
