Overview of agrometeorological situation of November 2, 2023
The past rains have replenished the moisture reserves in the soil, most significantly in the south-east of the republic. According to the results of instrumental determination of soil moisture the reserves of productive moisture on the main arrays of winter grain crops are good. In most of the southern regions and in some places in the central part of Belarus, where insufficient moisture supply persisted for a long time, a significant increase in moisture content was noted, the maximum amount of precipitation fell here (3-4 decadal norms, in some places more). Mainly on soils with heavy mechanical composition in some northern regions of the republic moisture reserves under winter crops turned out to be increased.
In the near future good soil moisture in most of the territory of Belarus will contribute to the further development of winter crops, warm weather will prolong the autumn vegetation.
