Overview of agrometeorological situation of November 11, 2023
In the first decade of November, under the influence of warm weather, the vegetation of winter crops continued. This had a positive effect on their condition – the crops received additional development. According to the latest data winter grain crops are being tillered in most of the observed fields. On late crops, mainly in October, shoots and the third leaf are noted. In winter rape the formation of a leaf rosette continues.
In places, especially in the northern region and in the eastern half of the republic, where the most intense precipitation was observed, the soil is waterlogged. In such areas the implementation of winter tillage and the completion of harvesting operations are difficult.
At the beginning of next week, due to a decrease in the temperature regime, the vegetation of winter crops will stop. Due to the expected cold snap it is necessary to complete the harvesting of late vegetables and root crops.
